Default Free Agents the Broncos are talking to...

The Broncos are currently trying to get a deal done with Bunkley, are negotiating with DT Paul Soliai, and will have Brandon Merriweather in for a visit.

Broncos have supposedly scheduled a visit with Paul Solai.

Top free agent nose tackle Soliai visiting the Broncos
Posted by Evan Silva on March 14, 2012, 10:40 AM EDT

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that free agent defensive tackle Paul Soliai is scheduled to visit the Broncos.

Soliai is the top nose tackle on the 2012 free agent market. He goes 6-foot-4, 355 and could be a quick solution to Denver’s seemingly annual run defense woes.

Per La Canfora, the Dolphins are trying to re-sign Soliai. The Broncos will make their pitch first.

Florio has reported that the Falcons, Dolphins, Broncos, Chiefs, Colts, 49ers, and Patriots have all shown interest in Soliai since the free agency signing period opened.

They weren't going to be big spenders in FA anyway.

They have made it clear that they will build through the draft and then plug holes with second tier FAs.

OK, so going after Manning makes sense then...

I guess they see it as a once in a lifetime opportunity. At least that would be my guess.

Not sure you can make that argument about any of the other FA.

That would change if we land Manning because its obvious for a SB push and we have some big gaps to fill. If they are not getting the holes filled in FA, or enough filled in the draft, I see picks traded for players, which is not building through the draft.
