You're right... I completely forgot how much the 2K franchise changed after 2k5...

madden bought the NFL liscense, they made 2K8 but couldnt use NFL players, so actually it changed A LOT more than any madden every did...... but im a huge madden fan and i just happen to know that 25 wasnt all that bad

Fair enough... I didn't count 2K8....

I haven't tried it, and doubt I ever will.

I never got into the franchise at all... and I never minded having others that had their preferred game. Over the years though, I've gotten a bit weary of the same complaints ANY time someone starts a thread about Madden.

EA was not the only company bidding on the NFL franchise... or the other franchises either. The bid the most. That does not make them evil or horrible.

There's only so many changes you can make to make something that is already fairly realistic to make it more realistic. It gets harder and harder to do the more and more you've done. I think they realized that some of their mistakes in the past were not SHOWING what changes they've made, so they're openly blogging about the changes etc. this year, so the consumers are more confident that they're getting a different product. Good marketing.

I'd buy it either way.

People who are anti-Madden will always be anti-Madden... many probably won't try it every year... some may have not tried it since 2k5. Some were likely anti-Madden before they bought the NFL franchise. They whine and they moan about a game that they supposedly don't care about... and because others do too... they think they're in the majority... when really, there's plenty of happy Madden customers who just don't care enough about the whining to argue back. They're happy... why would they?

I've played Madden since 93. It's gotten so stale and lame. NFL 2k5 is STILL the best REAL football game i've ever played, and am NOT an Madden hater. It's like being the only person in your weight class in a wresting tournament. You don't have to try, you will always win. GHEY.

Fans of 2k5 whine because they feel cheated. 2K5 had concepts that are still being implemented into Madden editions years on down the line. 2K5 was an incredibly superior sports game and what happened? It got axed and replaced with a series which has become content with itself (starting in 2001/2002). Madden fans should be pissed on the basis that if they feel Madden sucks that particular year they no longer have another product to go to, nor do they have any reason to believe that next year's edition will be any improvement being that EA doesn't actually have consumers to win over. They have jobbed consumers with about half their editions, I'd say, and there isn't any reason to think that will go away. They will do what they have always done: Release a "new" Madden (2001), then ride that for about two or three years and then finally introduce another new Madden (2006) and ride that edition for a few years as well.

yeah i do..... im like 180 - 70 so pretty similar records but add bullis26

I heard the ps2 and xbox version of 09 is better than the ps3 and 360 in everything except for graphics.
I don't like the Wii version it lacks too many features.
