    Default Tink, some help please!!!

I am trying to download and install Quickbooks 2012. The first time I tried, I got an error message labeled 0x80070643. I did some background research and found out that this is an issue with .net framework 4. I went to my installed programs file and I had a .net 2 and a .net 3.5. I uninstalled the 2 programs as instructed by Microsoft. I have since then tried installing both the Quickbooks disk with no success and the .net 4 by itself with no success. I am still coming up with the same fatal error code 0x80070643 from both QB and direct. Any ideas on how to get the .net framework 4 on a Windows Vista 64 bit system.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have been working on it in the background for a good portion of the day and everything I have done has not worked. GRRRRRR!!!

    Thank you!

This is what the MSN guys have to say.

First, clean up from the failed install usinf this:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/arc...8/8904493.aspx

Then, download the standalone installer for .NET Framework 4.0:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en

Clean out your %temp% folder, disable your AV software, then run the standalone installer "as administrator".

Gem, Tink is such an idiot.

Here's the problem. Your Inline Fetzer is set to off. Go to the Fetzer Field in Properties and click on, then reset, then OK.

    It's that easy.

My suggestion was going to be to recalibrate the flux capacitor and call it good.

I did most of that, but didn't clean out the temp file. I am going to clean that out and then try it all again.

I am not drunk....but this computer shit is going to drive me to either drink or throw the laptop out in the middle of a highway. Drunk sounds more fun.
