they also cut Wes Welker his rookie season
A young Josh McDaniels starred alongside Jonah Hill and Michael Cera in Superbad (2007).

the chargers have pissed away more talent than any team in the NFL !
There GM can select talent, but he is too arrogant to keep it !
    sproles?
    LT?
    TURNER?
his top WR sitting out a season?
just like JMCD, their GMS ego is their worst enemy!
CAN WE PLEASE JUST SKIP ALL THE NONESENSE AND JUST TALK FOOTBALL?

. . .and I am absolutely sure that Welker has been unable to get over having to play for the Pats instead of the Sparklers. I wonder if he will ever be able to get over it.

Typical Chargers. Hopefully LT can win a ring next year and have a great Superbowl But still, joke of a franchise they are as usual.

In defense of the Chargers, Breez struggled in his 1st 3 seasons with San Diego. He had thrown 29 TDs to 31 INTs; while leading the Chargers to a 10-17 record in games that he started. He threw 11 TDs to 15 INTs; while leading to a 2-9 record in the '03 season that he missed 5 games due to injury. That was the whole reason that they used the 1st pick of the draft to get Eli.

    http://www.pro-football-reference.co...B/BreeDr00.htm

As far as Eli, he force them to trade him just as Elway force the Colts to do the same in '83. So Rivers came to the Chargers as the QB that was going to save their franchise; and Breez goes off and becomes the elite QB that he is today. Rivers sat on the bench for 2 seasons looking like he might not ever be given the chance to start because Breez was doing so great; until he got a shoulder injury in the '05 season finally against us. The Chargers FO jumped at the opportunity that his gave them to boot Breez out of town.

Was this a mistake by the Chargers? Based pm how Breez was playing is 1st 3 years; it's hard for me to fault them for wanting to use the #1 pick of the '04 draft to want to upgrade their QB position. It's hard to say for sure that Breez could have lead the Chargers to a SB. Rivers had been doing a great job piling up AFCW titles year after year up until the last 2 years. Furthermore, I think a curtain kick is more responsible for 1 of those play-offs loses then Rivers.
