Thread: Should pajamas be banned in public?

Default Should pajamas be banned in public?

There has been a rise of pajama wearing in public in the past couple of years. I used to see them primarily at Wal Mart, but then I started seeing people wear their pajamas in the grocery store, and then at Costco. I think wearing pajamas in public is a sign of laziness and a disrespect to the retail establishment they are patronizing. People, please, just put on a pair of pants before leaving the house.

I don't think that they should be legally banned (I don't think that's even possible), but I do think that stores should start adding it to their "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy. If I were the owner of a business, I would most definitely exercise my right to refuse business to anyone who is a total ****tard.

I couldn't imagine leaving the house in pajamas.

The worst I do is on Saturday morning runs to the grocery store, I leave in my Broncos sweats. My daughter wears her fluffy pants out, she says they keep her warm, I tell her she looks like a tard.

The people that leave their houses in pajamas are inviting criticism. Who am I to say they can't go into the crappiest store in the world (Walmart)? It is up to store owners weather or not they will accept their patronage. It doesn't affect me if someone doesn't care what they look like in public.

Now my kids on the other hand, I'll tell them not to go out looking like that because they are my kids.

In this age of caps on sideways, pants worn below the ass, tattoos wallpapered
all over the body, and nose and tongue rings, what is so shocking about a pair
    of PJs?

No ban, it's an easy way of knowing who the slobs are.

    Gem,

As a service to us all could you start leaving your house only in lingerie? And then post pics for proof.

    TIA.

YES, there is nothing that speaks trash more than someone going shopping in their old jammy pants.

Banned? Please. As long as it covers you I don't see why anyone would care what anyone else wears in public. It's not hurting you.

It's that slippery slope thing. The ban starts with pjs and before long they're going after sleeveless t-shirts or flip-flops. I want government out of my evening wear.

omgosh. I have a pair of night pants (I guess that's what one'd call them that I might wear down to the conoco with slippers to get a pack of smokes on a saturday morning, but that's about it. I don't think anyone minds or notices, looks like sweats. If I go to a bigger establishment which is typically later in the day, I'm showered and dressed for shopping in jeans, a shirt, shoes and sox. I don't really care what other people wear. If it were my business, I would I suppose. maybe no pjs after 10 am on Saturday. I might turn it into a selling point too. Like shop in your pjs from 8 to 10 and save 10 percent. or Pajama

party at Nuts merchandise february 12th. instead of being so critical, people need to more creative and expressive in my opinion*

*- to a reasonable and somewhat tasteful extent of course.
