Default My favorite movies of 2011

    Stake Land
    Warrior
    Bridesmaids
    The Guard
    Everything Must Go
    Hanna

And a tie for my favorite were Hesher and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil.

EDIT: have to add Drive to the list. Watched it yesterday and it was awesome. Great flick. I like action movies that are more visceral Than just a bunch of crasy unrealistic gunfights and acrobatic foot chases. The car chases in this movie are so realistic. Great great movie.

Hanna left me a little disappointed.

I thought it was very original and well done. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Driver comes out tomorrow and from everything I've read it may make my list.

Damn. . . I've only seen Bridesmaids out of that list.

I'm not sure I've even heard of a few of those.

Win Win was pretty high up there for me. Bridesmaids was fine, but overrated

I think Warrior is the only one on that list I've seen, although I'm rethinking myself on that too.

Oh, duh. I've seen Hesher. Loved that movie. It was hilarious in a dark way.

I thought Bridesmaids was horrible. Not that I have the best taste ever, but that wasn't my cup of tea

the only movie I saw last year was Hugo and I really liked it. I saw part of the Immortals, but got bored. It must have really sucked because I didn' t hear anything abouit it.

Oh on Bad teacher. Cameron Diez isn't it? I'm not big on her.

I've always like smaller independant type movies a little more than most of the big Hollywood stuff. I still watch big studio movies and enjoy a lot of them quite a bit but when thinking back on my favorites they are usually ones that don't make the most money or get the most hype.

BTW just an insight into my movie taste, I'm a huge Coehn Bros. fan.

Me too. I'm the only person I know who liked the end of "No Country For Old Men".

Have you seen Skateland? One of my favorites this year.

I think I'm going to rent some movies, so I'll try to hunt a few of these down...

No, but I remember your review and I'll probably check it out on one of my days off.

Anybody else use Vudu. I have a Bluray player with wifi and I rent a lot of movies from vudu if redbox doesn't have it.
