Thread: Cherry Creek/Grandview CO HS football

I'm watching this game on ESPU and Jack Elway is the QB for Cherry Creek. I thought these were two elite teams in CO but Cherry is getting throttled and Elway doesn't look very impressive. I know nothing about CO HS football but wondering why this would be a nationally televised game other than Elway being the QB!

Jack has played pretty well this year. I am sure one of the major attractions is that John is Cherry Creek's QB coach.

Cherry has done great in the second half! Elway's doing pretty good and the defense has dug in their heels. Oh well, good to see John on a football field even though a coach.

Grandview is good.

They've held the ball for 8 minutes in the 4th. Cherry hasn't touched the ball in the 4th. Talk about ball control! Jack's going to have to do a John and lead his team to a last minute victory! Good game, it has turned out to be!

Great game! Cherry's defense fizzled out at the end and Grandview scores TD with :10 seconds left! My sons were on the edge of their seats! They'll be my HS players in 4 yrs, so they soak up everything they can!

So how did Jack do?

Grandview is decent. And Nomad, Creek and Grandview are both decent teams but none of them have anything special about them to make them nationaly telivised except for Jack Elway being the coach.
