Default D-JAX is history as a Bronco

    http://www.rotoworld.com/content/clu...FL&majteam=DEN

Darrell Jackson - WR Feb. 25 - 10:19 am et

The Broncos will not try to re-sign WR Darrell Jackson before the start of free agency.

D-Jax, still relatively young at 30 years old, failed to take advantage of a plum opportunity in Denver and will not be heavily pursued on the open market. He's now four years removed from his last 16-game, 1,000-yard season.

    More news,

The Broncos are believed to be looking for a running back "who can break off a long run in the first half, and protect a lead by moving the sticks in the fourth quarter."

Peyton Hillis is the closest thing to an every-down back on the current roster, but he won't be breaking off many long runs. Even if he plays the Mike Alstott role, the Broncos will need a Warrick Dunn type to pair with him.

Well at the moment that puts the kibosh on using him as the number two receiver when we're in a three receiver sets.

Who the F isnt? Seriously, thats what you call an all around complete back. Someone who can break the big one, but also beat up and wear a defense down and pick up the tough yards.....

Thats everyones dream...The only thing i can think of is ward,LJ or Rudi and the last two dont really have that breakaway speed, nor would we be intersted in them.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Sign D.J. Hackett who was just released by the Panthers!

    He's money.

If CJax doesnt work out, it would scare me having a 2nd day pick as our first alternate at the position.

FTR...I think a healthy CJax will be fine.

if crabtree fell to 12 i think we could seriously be in a postion that teams want to trade up to get him. meaning if they want him they will have to give up this year and next years 1st rounder. i wouldnt mind trading back and getting a guy like cushing, not at all.

but johnny knox is an interesting day 2 prospect. he ran a 4.3 something at the combine.

I NEVER thought about that before.....That would almost be ideal for us, well it would be actually...And with his broken footbone he might just make the slide to 12. Its a long shot but a very entertaining one and highly beneficial to us.

Teams after us that could use a solid WR like him.

Philly, Buf, Jets, NYG, Jax, Car, Az possibly, Tpa, Sfo, Mia, Ten,

Now not all of them would move that far up, but maybe Mia, or Tampa or Jax would consider the move. We would only move a few places back with them.....I like it.

If Crabtree falls to us...I' want to keep him. If that makes Brandon or Eddie want to leave at some point, then I guess so be it, but Crabtree is going to be something special.
