Di Maria's chip goal was a beauty though.
LVG needs to buy at least two defenders in January.

So does Brendan, or maybe we can make do with one commanding defender to organise the rest.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath on Wenger making any big signings in the winter. Debuchery(sp?) just had ankle surgery and he's out 3 months at least and he was our "big name" defensive signing.

We could use a mean, nasty, vocal defender back there.

I think part of the problem with the defenders is the goalie. You never see him directing them like Pepe used to.

That too. He doesn't have character and presence.

    Reyna was an excellent keeper.

Because of this post I will refrain from slamming Arsenal and just stick to making fun of Tottenham.

We just lost too much defense all at once this year and the available talent just isnt there. Hopefully they can do something in January, but I guess that depends on if we pay a ton to bring Ronaldo back. Either way, I didnt figure the whole ship would be righted in one brief off-season.

Arsenal/Southampton and Liverpool/Middlesbrough about an hour away. Anyone going to watch?

Rreal Madrid/Elche and Bayern Munich/Paderborn also about to kick off. Looks like I'll get Liverpool's match on the satellite but not Arsenal unless I find a stream.
