I support the Colorado Rapids, but MLS games are rarely shown on TV so I haven't been able to get into the MLS as much as I would like. I also like Sporting KC.
Except Portland isnt very good this year and the MLS stacked the Seattle team, so it could be very one-sided. That's the bad part about MLS...the teams dont dictate where players go...the league does. And they have a propensity to send players to teams that are already good or are in large markets. Which makes no sense to me. If you want to build the MLS fan base, why send the big names to the places where people are already showing up?
Which is possible. Dallas fans have always been passionate regardless of whether the team is good or not, but Texas is a soccer hotbed and we have a high Mexican population, so...it makes sense here. I'm not up to speed on soccer popularity in Oregon.
Portland isnt a bad team. I guess they just suffer from the Western Conference being so strong. In comparison...Seattle is running away with the league. But Seattle has a stacked team. Dempsey, Cooper, Martins, Yedlin, Neagle, etc.
Portland v. LA will be on NBCSN Friday night
Chaz, no MLS talk in the EPL thread. It brings the entire thread down.
They better get busy. They were talking about spending 100 million pounds or more in the offseason I recall. Luke Shaw was a great pickup, he should continue developing into a star. Hererra is another good young player. The wanted Toni Kroos as well, but he is going to Real Madrid.
On paper Man U is stacked, getting them to play is the issue. I think they should be in the top 4 this upcomming season with Louis van Gaal as manager.
I heard Suarez won the Golden Tooth award in Brasil.
How are Liverpool going to replace his production?
The Gunners signed the Chilean Alexis Sanchez. I hope he works out. Supposedly going after some Frenchman that I have never heard of. Arsene loves his frogs.
