Just because Lloyd wants to go where McD does, doesn't mean he goes where McD does. Plus, KC just drafted Baldwin (which has looked really really good at times), as well as signed Breaston just last offseason. Bowe, Baldwin, Breaston, Mako (?)(their TE that was injured this year), McCluster, and Charles..... I don't see room for Lloyd in KC. Not enough to give him the money he would want, or nearly the number of passes (which is why he wanted out when Denver moved to Tebow).

I don't believe Belicheck drops his OC for McD. Not until I see it happen.

Plus brandon lloyds comments on his FA destination being where MCD is could be reason teams are interested.....dont think KC wouldnt want lloyd and bowe to add to charles and mccluster? shit we would be screwed. Think belicheck wouldnt dump chad johnson in a heart beat for lloyd who mcd would no doubt vouch for....

you da man beef but i gotta be objective on this one
Okay you won me over. Just remember this. Wherever McD leaves, they get better the next year.

Now tell me a fighter jet story.

Belicheck's OC just took the head coaching job at Penn St.

You are right.. I missed that. I didn't realize. I now understand why McD's name is connected to Belicheck and the Patriots.

There is a difference in what you are saying and reality. A couple things have to happen. 1, the team that hires McD has to want Lloyd. Two, they will have to be willing to PAY Lloyd the money he wants, or, Lloyd will have to be willing to accept the money that is offered to him. Not to mention, since Lloyd is a FA, he can select the team he goes to. If he sees a crowded team, with a lack-luster QB behind center, that may not be the situation he wants to put himself in.

NE, on the other hand, would seem like the ideal spot to go, McD or no McD. Taking over for the complete joke of Ocho, would be a perfect fit. Although NE isn't a team that is willing to pay top dollar for any individual FA. Lloyd is probably looking for MONEY more than anything else being that he's at the end of his career, won't get another shot at another contract, and isn't going to be a "remembered" kind of talent. Although, playing with Brady is always a plus for any WR.

KC has a crowded WR corp and a mediocre QB at best. KC isn't a team known for spending BIG money on FA's to begin with, and Piolli certainly isn't one to spend big money on any players, especially a WR that isn't in the prime age of his career.

Can those things happen, absolutely! But liking or disliking Lloyd doesn't take away from those factors. Lloyd wanted to be sure to go to a situation that showcased his skills so he could get a fat payday this coming FA year. He's not simply going to accept any offer purely to follow McD.

I'm beginning to think more and more that McD will return to NE.

I bet he had conversations with Belichick where he admitted becoming an HC in Denver was a big mistake 'cuz he wasn't ready. I bet he told Bill he wished he stayed in NE.

I hear people say McD returning full circle to NE is not a good career move. I say its his best move. NE is his best chance of success and if he does well owners and GM's won't care about what happened in Denver or St. Louis.

Now...i wont say he'll be a success anywhere else...but I find it hard to judge him or even blame him based on what happened in STL
Most objective post here. Good job, coach.

It's interesting. Dawkins goes down and our secondary play is blamed on his absence. Why arent we calling for Allen's head for not adapting? I guess it's only because his name isnt McDaniels.

Again...not defending him because I think he was a horrible HC that got in over his head. But to blame an OC for an underachieving OL and QB injuries? That's grasping for straws.
Another example is last year, when there was no Doom.

    Quite funny, the hypocrisy.

So go root for them and leave us alone (yes, I just played the fan card, sue me).

Jeebus, even I recognize what a disaster McDaniels' second year in Denver was. Wake up.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

It would be interesting if McDaniels went to the Chiefs.

    1. He'd take over the offense, right after Haley was fired .... Haley, the guy who pointed accussingly at him. This should feel like some form of redemption for him.

    2. He has a chance to have not one, but two of his QBs of choice ... Cassel and Orton.

    3. He gets to face the Broncos at least twice every season, so that should strengthen the rivalry, with everything that went down with McDaniels and the Broncos.

The problem with McDaniels is he believes that his system is greater than the players, so that makes him choose players that fit his system, instead of fitting a system to special players. He does not know how to adapt; very inflexible.
