Default Patriots and Chiefs seek to speak to McDaniels

The Rams still have Josh McDaniels under contract. They want him available should the team’s next head coach want to keep McDaniels on as offensive coordinator.

If Jeff Fisher was hired, it’s hard to imagine McDaniels sticking around. And he’s already received interest from a few of his previous bosses.

Bryan Burwell of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Chiefs and Patriots have reached out to the Rams to seek permission to speak with McDaniels. It’s not known whether the Rams responded yet.

I'll take him back in a heartbeat. He still has a bedroom in New England and it hasn't changed a bit!

But, but, but, McDaniels is just a huge moron. How would such a huge moron have THREE NFL teams interested in his services? Could it be possibly that maybe just maybe actual NFL teams are a little more objective and capable of analyzing his ability than a bunch of bitter Broncos fans?

Yes, because the offensive coordinator is the one and only variable in a quarterback's development. What splendid analysis!

McGenius. And the Rams couldn't score. That gets most other dudes fired. I don't know what to tell you.

Chiefs grasping for straws cause they overpaid for Cassel and have Orton, Patriots must need an equipment manager.

    This is a non story.
Thanks MO for the wicked Sig.

Beef beat me to it. Yeah, the offensive coordinator's primary job isn't to focus just on the QB.... but the entire Rams offense sure didn't benefit with him there. They did way better last season.

Maybe the Chiefs are desparate to get Cassel jump started and maybe the Patriots are tired of winning.

Hmm.. but but but.....you mean like how Norv Turner still has his job?

But but but...that can't POSSIBLY be true! Do you think that regurgitated names live by their past success despite recent evidence showing contrary?

His name is thrown around with the Chiefs because of his connection with Piolli. I hope the Chiefs hire him as their HC, that and the move to keep Norv Turner in SD could be the two BIGGEST moves for Denver.

    McD= Epic Fail.

However, i hope he goes to the Chiefs. That offense will be pathetic for years to come.

I think its HILARIOUS that BTB would come in here defending McD.

So, when McD was HC here and the offense sucked and couldnt score to save its life (except in garbage time) it was someone else's fault. Meanwhile, these are the same guys who said he was AWESOME in NE and SOLEY responsible for their success there yet going to St. Louis this year he sucks. Which is it?

Sorry, that shit is way too funny. Rav hit on the head. Coaches get recycled all the time and Pioli is familiar with McD because of their business relationship. But McD will fail there as well because he doesnt have BB above him. Lol, yea, he was the be all end all in NE but sucked in Denver and St. Louis and yet he is still awesome. hahahahahahahahahahahhaa
