I don't know if this has been done, and apologize if this is a repeat thread.
Who did one of the best cover songs ever?
I just listened to Otep do "Bleed" by Nirvana and I like it a lot.

Two of my favorites are when Redman, Kieth Murray, and Eric Serman covered Rappers Delight, (Also when the old lady did it in the Wedding Singer) and the Roots cover of Dougie Fresh and Slick Rick's "The Show"

Nirvana's cover of "Man who sold the World" is excellent. And "Lake of Fire"
"Morning Dew" covered by both Jeff Beck and Nazareth
"Dead Souls" by NIN, though the Joy Division original is still better.

"A man who picks a cat up by the tail learns something which he can learn in no other way." - Mark Twain
Les Claypool and the Flying Frog Brigade cover Pink Floyd's Animals from start to finish. It's great.
The Smashing Pumpkins did a bunch of great covers, including:
Destination Unknown (Missing Persons)
You're All I've Got Tonight (The Cars)
Dancing in the Moonlight (Thin Lizzy)
The Joker (Steve Miller Band)
Landslide (Fleetwood Mac)
Dreaming (Blondie)
We're All Clones (Alice Cooper)
And Marilyn Manson did some good 80's covers:
Spin Me
Sweet Dreams
Personal Jesus
Richard Cheese's entire discography.
How's your burger, bro? - Ancient proverb
Never really been a massive fan of covers, to be honest, although I'll always be grateful to the Far Corporation for covering Stairway To Heaven...............that was my introduction to Led Zep..............
One individual cover that springs to mind, and is probably my favourite, is the Manic Street Preachers' version of Suicide is Painless, better known as the theme from M*A*S*H.
I've also got a couple of half decent covers albums, Def Leppard's 'Yeah', which is mostly 70s Classics such as 20th Century Boy, Waterloo Sunset & Don't Believe A Word, and Tom Jones' 'Reloaded', which is the old Welsh rocker collaberating with various artists on different songs such as Lust for life with The Pretenders, Are you gonna go my way with Robbie Williams & Sexbomb with Mousse T.

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
