Nights in White Satin is just one of those songs that should never be touched, but they did a good job.

I lkied the BT4 version of All Along The Watchtower that was used as the centrepoint for the finale of the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica.....................not only was there a cover of the song, but the lines were used through out the final couple of episodes, and it bugged the hell out of me that I couldn't place the song they came from

One of my favorite bands in a long, long time.

My favorite ever is one most of you probably never heard of. Sophie Ellis Bextor's "Take Me Home" originally performed by Cher.

Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" originally performed by Aretha Franklin, as well as Gaye's Star Spangled Banner in Los Angeles back in 1982, probably the best version of them all.

Johnny Cash's Ring Of Fire by Social Distortion.

Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney, since that song has been played over and over and over...

It takes a lot of talent really to cover a performance another group or artist owns, and Van Halen has it.

A Perfect Circle covered Imagine by John Lennon, and sing it like the dirge in minor key instead of as an uplifting dream. REALLY good.

    Just a really neat cover.

And of course, the one that currently still makes me laugh my ass off is Framing Hanley's cover of Lil Wayne's Lollipop:

I enjoy covers. Mostly because I like seeing what artists themselves are interested in. All Along The Watchtower by the Dave Matthews Band is ridiculously incredible live.

It's been covered a million times, but DMB's version just gets everything right about the original, and adds some extra color besides.

    Good stuff.
