We know all the big name gunners we like. But how bout the ones that arent garnering a lot of attention but you really like? This is one guy i would like to see us take a chance on later in the draft.


Lawrence Sidbury DE (Richmond)

2008: Selected one of four senior captains.

2007: First Team All-CAA Football... VaSID All-State First Team... Finished second on the team and 15th in the conference in sacks (5.0), while his 8.5 tackles for loss was third on the squad... Played a key role on the defensive line that limited opponents to just 152.5 yards rushing per game... Played and started in 13 games... Missed all of the Appalachian State game and much of the Wofford game with an ankle injury... The opposition rushed for just 130 yards per game with Sidbury on the field... Recorded a season-high six tackles in back-to-back wins over Villanova and Delaware... Was in on five tackles, a sack and forced a fumble in the win over Eastern Kentucky in the NCAA First Round, helping the Spiders limit the ninth-ranked Colonels to just 54 yards rushing.

2006: Played in nine games... Was in on 17 tackles (5.5 for loss) and one sack... Helped a Richmond defense that ranked 21st nationally against the run (115.9 yards/game), 36th against the pass (117.3 yards/game) and 22nd in points allowed (18.09 points/game).

2005: Helped the Spider defense rank fourth in the conference and 38th in the country in total defense (339.3 yd/game)... Was part of a Spider defensive squad which also ranked fourth in the conference and 22nd in the nation against the rush (120.1 yd/game)... Took part in the Spider defense which recorded 51 total sacks, the most since wracking up 59 in 1997... Played in 13 games and started one... Recorded a total of 24 tackles, including four for loss... Garnered three sacks for a total of 12 yards.

2004: Redshirted.

High School: All-State and honorable mention All-Met in 2003... Also earned All-County and All-League as a senior... Served as captain final two seasons and was a three-year starter for head coach Randolph Warren... Member of the Washington, D.C. Golden 11 team... Played in the Prince Georges County All-Star Game... Honor roll student as part of the Science and Vo-Tech program... Member of the honor roll... County champion and second in state in the shot put.
