Julius Thomas could be a legit receiving TE, is he still injured or does he just not play? I understand using Fells as a blocking TE but why the hell do we let him run routes?

I hope Thomas can be the guy, like I said in my OP, but the fact that we don't have one right now is hurting us offensively. TEs aren't big money players so finding an affordable FA would probably be a good move if Thomas isn't what we hoped he'd be. Fells is a good blocker and has okay hands, but he isn't scaring any defenses with his speed or route running. He's been doing a lot of babysitting for Franklin this season, too.

Our young WRs and QB could really benefit from another weapon out there.

Julius Thomas was supposed to be our basketball, athletic tight end type, but it hasn't worked out so far.

hopefully he is a project player who will come out and light it up when they get the kinks worked out

    Start with the quarterback first.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

NO. Start with the offensive line and defensive front 7 first, then fill in the skill positions.

Even without Kuper, he had all day to throw and they rushed for plenty of yards. Offensive line isn't the problem either.

In that case should we pursue Peyton Manning?

If a TE is at the top of the draft board when we select, okay take him. I think we'll give our two rookies another season before we explicitly look to replace them though.
Oh yeah running back has to be a high priority this offseason.

I disagree. The offensive line did great job today. The sacks the Chiefs got today were due to Tebow holding onto the ball way to long.

I was thinking about your thinking. I don't get why this team drafted J Thomas and Virgil Green. Brought in Fells and Rosario. Yet how many two TE sets was this team running where it would throw to a TE? How many catches do our TE's have?

Yea a play making tightend would help a lot, rodgers-finley
    Manning-clark,
Matt cassel last year had Tony moeiki
    Rivers- gates
    Brady -gronkowski
    Alex smith- Vernon Davis,
    Brees- Graham
    Newton- Olsen
    Etc...
Then again we do need to get better elsewhere and tebow needs to get better at throwing the ball too
