Default U29 mini '12 mock. Still better than Northy

Obviously we have no clue as to the draft order until we finish the playoffs, as well as which juniors will declare and which will return to school. Players will also go Higher and lower than what I have as in addition. Free Agency will be crazy this year as something like 80% of NFL players will be FA.

I noticed Ryan Harris has come back to us for a visit Yesterday or Today. I would love that! Bring him back, scoot Franklin over to LG and He and the Beadle can be our backup Tackles, should Ryan suffer his annual injury.

Regardless of it all, here is the quick 3 round mini mock.

    1- Vontze Burfict-ILB-
People said Rolondo Mcclain was the next Ray Lewis, and this kid is better than Mcclain. I dont care if he illegally takes peoples heads off in the game from time to time. As long as he isnt doing it off the field like Ray and Rolondo I will accept the personal fouls. We miss/ Lack the Run stuffer who always plugs the right holes and tackles the runner, and the wr on the cross and can blitz the QB...Long live Al Wilson- and Welcome back, in the form of Vontzie kamikaze!

    2- Chase Minnifield- CB- 6'0, 185lb, 4.46- 40
The Seed is strong with this one. Dad was an all pro for the browns. Solid CB all around, can cover man to man and zone, plays the run and can intercept some balls. He also can return punts (id rather he did not)-

2B-Runner up to Chase: Casey Hayward CB- 5'11, 188lb 4.47-40
Casey is my runner up and the more likely person to be there near our pick in round 2. More of a ballhawk, lots of INTs, which Fox prefers but he is also real solid in run support. I think we can all agree that is something our team needs. (looking at you Goodman!)-

3rd round- Tannehill...I dont like him so much, but I figure we will get a QB in this draft and he WILL fall to us in the 3rd.. Didnt Ryan Mallett fall to the Pats in the 3rd, when people thought he was top 10? Well, this kid, def not as good, but will last til then I am sure.

Sleeper- Jayron Hosley CB- I love this kid! Want to see how he looks at combine but he could be my #2 guy!
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I love the Burfict pick. That's a guy that could come in and make an immediate impact on this defense. Now that Teo is going back to Notre Dame, Burfict may not even be there when we pick. He'll run around a 4.5-4.6 at the combine and probably end up top 20.

Jayron Hosely would be a nice 2nd round pick. That's where I mocked him in my quick and lazy mock. I love Minnifield also, but I'm not a fan of Hayward. Good job UR.

I could see us taking Minnifield in the first, actually, but if he was there in the second we should absolutely snatch him up. He's gonna have to run slow at the combine to have that happen.

And I have a huge fondness for Burfict, so a Burfict/Minnifield tandem in the first couple rounds would be a great boost for us talent-wise IMO.

It wouldnt surprise me if he was top 15 maybe even top 10.

    Vontazie kamikaze

I see Burfict lasting til the early 2nd. Other than light up running backs and collect UC penalties, he brings nothing.

Tannehill will be gone much earlier than the 3rd.

Minniefield is the best bet for round 1 if we draft in the 20's

Burfict will be interesting. I watched a few ASU games this year, most recently their bowl game. That whole team is out of control. It appears nobody was running the asylum. I'll be interested to see if separating him from that situation AND getting him @ some solid leadership will help him grow up.

Like the picks but there is no way Ryan tannehill drops to.the third. Mallett is not a good analogy because he had major red flags. Tannehill is a high character Guy and above avg athlete. Also don't see Minnie lasting to our slot in the 2nd. I think vntaze stock takes hit after suh and his suspension this year

See I think any team would gladly pay their first round pick for Suh. Even now with a suspension. Not saying vontazie kamikaze will be that good, but I think he benefits from the Suh effect and goes top 15, maybe top 10. Teams are going to want a dominant difference maker and take the few penalties along the way. There is a difference between their types and the cancer types like albert haynesworth.
