Yea, i agree. Ive often stated how i like that this board is different than the Freak, Nation, and the Mane. The Mane allows just about anything yet some who stay here dont move to that board for one reason or another. But, the fact that BF is different and that it actually cares about the member's input and overall feeling is what separates itself from other boards.

So anywaycan I get a ruling on my avatar?
Thanks for keeping the forums football related.
Without the express written consent of NFL football you can't post links to streamed games. One of the rules states no links to illegal activity. Can we get a clarification as to if posts concerning links to the game streams will be deleted?
Ok, everyone has been so focused on the political sigs/avvies, we haven't had much discussion about the 11 points in the rules. There are a couple days left to get input.
By and large, these rules are a consolidating and simplification of the two sections that exist in the current rules, with the addition of rules 11 and 12 -- nastygrams via MHS and the communities responsibility to report posts to help the mods do their job.
Also, based on how I think the rule will be set, I have modified the signature rule to state only positive political and relgious sigs will be allowed.

I understand what you're saying but I think most of the reporting crap just stems from people who do not like certain people.I have read post that proves that.
Yea P and R should stay there but a person's P or R sig being seen in a football thread shouldn't even be an issue.IMO it's more a personal thing more then people actually being offended.
Tned I made a thread about Derrick Thomas in the other NFL teams forum...there were a couple of people who added nothing but BS as if it was in the smack forum.I know this is off topic but where do you draw the line as far as stuff spilling into other forums.
I moved your post here, because it is really more about general rules/conduct than it is about sigs.
On the Derrick Thomas thread. It was discussed at length by the mods. It was decided that while the responses were via 'images' they were related to Thomas.
I don't know, it's a tough call. On the one hand mods are harrassed for over-modding and we have pages of people saying we have too many rules already, but on the other hand 'where' should the mods draw the line on what is 'off topic', trolling, etc.
The off-topic, spamming, trolling thing is very far reaching, and it is very hard for the mods to know where to draw the line as to 'what' really is spamming/trolling and off topic. It seems everyone has a different opinion.
I cannot believe what I have just read here.Yes they were related to DT but it had absolutely NOTHING to do with him getting into the HOF...and there weren't just images posted.
I guess your Mods and yourself see things ALOT differently than I do.It was BS what was posted. My post was in the other NFL teams forum not the smack forum which is what the images and post were.
I see how things are here.I am a Chiefs fan so it's okay to just go ahead and crap all over my thread. Is that how it is because that is the message I am getting here.
I think it shows more that most threads are allowed to be crapped on. It's a hard thing to mod.
If they've allowed it in the Town Hall to the extent they have... what thread is safe?
I'm not attacking the mods decisions or KCL's thread here for the record. Both sides are valid in my mind.
One person's fun and joking, is another person's "crapping on". As I said, I don't think there is a more difficult thing to define than spamming/trolling/crapping in threads.
If it is a completely off topic hijacking of 'banter' is it ok, but if it is a picture it isn't? People used to have running jokes about how certain posters hijacked threads. Was that trolling, or only when pictures or the wrong people do it?
Personally, I find almost all blatantly off topic posts annoying, but I know that many, many people don't see it the same way.
It is not a simple matter, unless we are going to simply say nothing off topic is allowed.
I agree. Again, I wasn't trying to comment on how it's been handled... only used the terminology I did because it was obvious that was how KC felt about her thread. If she feels it's out of place there, I simply think that she should also feel that it's out of place everywhere... rather than think it's an indictment of the staff's opinion of her... because it certainly hasn't been just that one thread.
I was just trying to say she wasn't being singled out, I guess.
