    Default 10/9 Doomsday Mock Draft

As was discussed elsewhere, with the season not going as well as we all are hoping, I went ahead and made a mock draft for the scenario of being in a position with a high draft pick.

    1. Darren McFadden, RB
    2. Dre Moore, DT
    4. Jameel McClain, ILB
    4. Henry Smith, DT***
    5. Bryan Kehl, OLB
    5. Jeremy Zuttah, OL
    7. Joe Fields, S
    7. Rudy Burgess, Ret

I go back and forth with Moore, Okam and Bryant. Though Moore is 10 lbs lighter than the other two, he is very strong and does a great job of holding his ground and reading/flowing to the play while engaged with a blocker.

*** Changed from Jason Shirley 10/12

Shirley wasjust arrested and kicked off the team he missed two games earlier because of a screw up now he has another one. hes ozzing in talent but might be a gardner in waiting.

I'd be down with this draft for the most part, even though I still think McFadden is a long-shot, and pending whether or not Henry will get suspended - a questionable selection at this point in time. However, you said it was Doomsday - so yeah, good work!

Well lets see. There are some teams who have recently drafted RBs in Rd 1 that might be picking in the top 5. Minnesota, Buffalo and Miami just off the top of my head are two such teams. So if we were # 5 and these teams were among the 4 teams in front of us, theres a chance we may get McFadden.

As a matter of fact here are the teams with 1 win or less:
    St. Louis- Steven Jackson
    NO- McAlister and Reggie Bush
Atlanta- A distinct possibility they would take McFadden but they also might take Brohm.
    Minnesota- Adrian Peterson
Eagles- Brian Westbrook and they really need a WR
Cincinnait- Have Rudi Johnson but, moreover, really need defense
    Miami- Ronnie Brown
NYJ- Biggest candidate to take McFadden
    Buffalo- M. Lynch

he and marcus thomas should get along great. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Just for fun, I went and did draft where we would make a trade to draft high enough to select McFadden. First, we trade Foxworth, Gold, our 2008 1st, 2009 1st & 3rd. Then we sign Teddy Lehman and Boss Bailey. So here it is:

    1) Darren McFadden, RB
