Default Trading Anthony Could Be Knicks’ Way Up

It is difficult these days to know who exactly is dictating major personnel decisions for the Knicks, but Carmelo Anthony from inside the organization would not be an unreasonable guess. And that would be unfortunate because rare are the opportunities to resist the hackneyed superstar agenda and instead opt for a more original, and practical, championship blueprint.

The Knicks might develop such a plan right now — if they are finally snapping out of the trance that apparently had them waiting on Chris Paul, the disgruntled New Orleans point guard, to join his good friend Carmelo, along with Amar’e Stoudemire, in New York next season.

unfortunately, brooklyn wouldn't exactly qualify-- although playing with lopez instead of amare (and possibly chris paul, as he'd envisioned) would be a letdown, i have a better destination in mind for him. . .

i hope they trade him to the hornets for paul. . .

ideally, the deal also includes chauncey and david west-- and the hornets amnesty chauncey, and he gets to play someplace he's happy. . . leaving the chump melo all by himself on the dead-end league-owned team for the next three years, in a city whose soul will be utterly lost on him as he dreams of new york glamor. . . fitting end for the guy that started this whole stars forcing trades debacle that's making a mockery of the game. . .
