Default Rick Reilly Hires Lipreader to Stalk Tebow for Proof he said Naughty Words

OK, seriously, this is beyond absurd. ESPN actually pays money to this stiff, too

Rick Reilly Tweets That He Hired Lipreader To See If Tim Tebow Swore During Game

He cannot be serious, can he? Because if he is, pardon my French, but Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick! Talk about #Real…stupid.

But really, this has got to be some kind of joke, right? Right? At the same time, with all the money ESPN is paying this guy to churn out rehashed, hackneyed drivel, he probably does have enough cash just sitting there that he could use to pay lipreaders to stalk Tim Tebow on the sidelines. He is also a big enough of a doofus to come up with this kind of idiotic plan.

Rick might want to think about using his money to buy himself a life.

Agreed. Proof yet again that the worst Tebow fanboi on Earth is still better than an ESPN journalist

I didn't take the time to read the article, but I hope this is a joke.

If it is serious, it is pretty disheartening that the biggest sports media outlet is going out of their way to find dirt on TT.

Let the man be...He's not perfect (nobody is), so if they find anything it wouldn't change my opinion of Tim.

If true, this is a sad example of where we are as a society today that people want to find anything they can to tear down someone who is just trying to do some good.

Seriously? It sounds to me like we need to get the fanbois on to his twitter account.... Maybe he could hire someone to comb his twitter feed to locate the one tweet not telling him he's a ******* idiot.

Tim Tebow walks the walk. I hired a lipreader to see if he swore during Vikings game. Not once. Worst was an angry: "Let's go!" #Real

So it was just for a game. But what a low life, how lame is his life.

i LOVE this. at least it's inventive and distinct, as opposed to the piles of regurgitated tebow opinions every sports outlet (sans deadspin) is producing.

at this point i can summarize 97 percent of all tebow articles: he can't throw, he's not accurate, but he's a winner, he has a large fan base, etc.

Reminds me of a few years ago, when a fair bit of ink was spilled over whether Philip Rivers swears. Nonsense.

He wrote the following article, after the Minnesota game, which I started a thread on, and if the lipreader did see something, I would imagine Reilly would have included it in this article:
