Yeah, he didn't look good tonight Honz, and I'm not advocating us spending a high choice one him. I'm biased though, I lived in the Carolinas when he came to Clemson and he wowed me in his freshman year. I really don't have any other frame of reference.

He never fumbles and I like his body type. If we got him in the 4th, I'd be a happy man.

    4th round 3-4 OLB?
How is his change of direction and coverage ability? 3-4 OLB is not all about just pass rushing you know.

I've never payed attention to him before tonight and I don't judge players off of one game, so he may be a very good player. I just thought he looked extremely slow tonight.

Very athletic and hasgood speed. As a DE, I've never really seen him in cverage, so I can't spak on that. But I think he as as much athleticism as most of the other prospects who may be asked to switch to OLB...except maybe for Everette and Maybin.

Mayock thinks he could go between the 6th and 18th picks in the draft.

Why? After seeing Andre Brown today, I dont know why he hasnt nudged James Davis out as a mid round pick up. He was actually my sleeper a few months ago. Northman can tell you this. Another back who is just as good is Jeremiah Johnson. Davis was just too meh today as he was this season. There was one play where he could have broke it into the open if he would have broken Brutons tackle. It was a tackle that Johnson and Brown were breaking all game. But Davis went down on Brutons tackle, that was probably breakable. I know its one play but those isolated moments are what seperates backs in a lot of cases.

I think Raji has been playing more like a one gapper tonight and consequently allowed himself to be blocked out of some plays. You also got to give credit to Eric Wood, Antoine Caldwell, and Jon Luigs. They are all quality interior OLinemen. But I actually thought Brace was a little more consistent as he seemed to be more two gap focused tonight from what Ive seen. Ive just rewatched the first half.

Without a doubt. I would be shocked if Brown didnt move up the draft charts. Same with Johnson.

Johnson's injury history is almost as bad as Torain's. Buyer beware.

Agreed, Raji was playing one gap and end up taking himself out of several plays. By all mean to the credit of the interior lineman who were lined up against him, for the most part they out played him.

A couple of other players who did well were Scott McKillop, Patrick Chung, and Quinn Johnson. Patrick Chung actually had a really nice play near the goal line where he shedded Johnsons block and he tackled the ball carrier (w/an assist from McKillop)before he got in. It was a pretty impressive play for a safety.

I think outplayed might be an overstatement considering there were several times that he was double teamed even when one gapping. That should free up someone to make a play. But at the same time, I was very impressed with the guys I mentioned. I really think we have to get an interior OLinemen this year. Theres too much quality there. I realize we took L'steiger last year but I think this years centers are better and we also could use another interior OLineman.

Aggreed there is what 5 C's that could be drafted in the first 5 rounds. how many went that high last year again? anyways i aggree that a high emphasis shoudl be put on C this year.

I also am begining to think that as much as i like Raji. i might want Mt Cody more. Although i am sure we will see alot of 4-3 looks this year. i'd definetly run a hybrid 4.3 3.4 over a strict 3.4

I watched maybe a few series of the game with the North defense because the hype of this Raji guy. His intensity and aggression wasn't there for a 1st rd draft choice wannabe especially on a national scene. As I stated before he was doubled up but on the single blocks he was stood up and pushed away from the play. Granted the man wasn't playing at a NG position, but one thing to remember is veteran olineman in the NFL are smarter, stronger, and faster than these college olineman. Is he worth a 1st rd, I don't know I'm not a draft guru, but if you base it off last night, I wouldn't!!
