There are several guys I would take before Maualuga. Raji, Brown, Orakpo, Cushing, Jenkins, Moreno are among them

Any rookie is going to have areas that need fine tuned. IMO, Orakpo and Cushing are going to be busts. Moreno will be good and Brown has just as many question marks as Rey.

If I had to choose from that lot, I'd go with Raji simply based on need for our 3-4. but, if he's gone, as I expect he will be, then Jenkins is my first choice out fo the rest.

I'm going to put Raji in the class with Curry. He'd be a top choice, but it's useless to think about it because he wont be there at 12.

I don't like Rey, seems too much like he is going to be a distraction.

Well, if we cant find a trade partner to move back, we may not have a choice. I just dont see any way Raji falls to us. He could go anywhere before us starting with Seattle. They need a OT and a WR, but keep in mind both their DT's are FA's as is Leroy Hill. So, they could use some help on defense and can pick up a WR in the 2nd. After that, Oakland, Green Bay, SF and Jax are all definite possible landing spots for him. I just dont see him making it past 5 teams that could drastically benefit from his services.

The biggest knock on Clady last year was the fact that he was unproven against competition, and that he was raw. He was considered a project with many draft analysts.

Remember two years ago JaMarcus Russell didn't participate in all of the quarterback drills yet he was still the number one overall pick in the draft.

Actually. yes. First off, there are PLENTY of question marks surrounding his all-around game. Secondly...everyone does dumb shit may be true, but I choose not to discredit the hundreds of other athelets who don't do stupid shit like that. Sure there are a few a-holes who get their names in the police blotter, but it's still a small %. It was crass and disrespectful and had no place. We bitch about players getting away w/ stuff and not being held accountable. F him. We will have other options. He's not THAT good.

I think that he proved to everyone that the Wonderlick scores are overrated when it comes to actually getting on the field and playing football.

I wanted a LT in the last draft badly. I was thrilled when we picked Clady, but my first choice was actually Chris Williams who looks early on like he might be a huge bust. Here's to hoping that the Broncos keep making the right choices at #12.
