I put some decorations around my house. They go up the day after Thanksgiving, and taken down on Boxing Day. No more, no less.
My tree is a 9 foot prelit. It's decorated with silver and gold and white and clear ornaments.
I still have younger kids so Santa comes to my house.
On Christmas Eve, I take the kids around the town to look at the lights on people's houses. It's a tradition that started when I was a kid.
In gift giving, my family decided it's boring putting our names on the "From," and it's obvious who the gifts are from, so we make up names. Over the years, the pets, Presidents, fictional characters, and random objects have been generous with their gift giving.
I have never seen "White Christmas, "Miracle on 34th Street," or "It's a Wonderful Life."

You're missing out. Those are some great movies. We watch those and of course no Christmas is without A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Rudolph, Frosty, Home Alone, Charlie Brown, Grinch, and now Shrek.
My daughter watches the cartoons many times before Christmas. We have a foster kid this year who has never had much of a Christmas so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
We will go out looking at lights shortly before Christmas. Do the family get togethers. Go to a Christmas Eve church service. Allow the kids to open a gift Christmas Eve night. I always try to take off at least a few days before and after and just spend the time relaxing and with the family.
Tinsel. Sadly, my wife vetoed that because its a mess but mostly because the stupid cats eat it. You picks yer battles in a marriage, and this is one not worth fighting.
Nothing says "Festive Holiday Spirit" quite like 3" of tinsel dangling from a housecat's anus - nor their silvery decorated turds in the litter box.

Can't celebrate a holiday without a Honey Baked Ham.

Cointreau is a great Christmas flavor, though I enjoy Maker's Mark straight.
We watch "It's a Wonderful Life" on Chrsitmas Eve and then on Christmas day a "White Christmas" and "Christmas Story" on Christmas Day after we go to Christmas Mass.
