Default 2011 Metal Album of the Year

This is simply a submissions thread im doing to see what the local metalheads on here thought are worthy for album of the year contention. You can either post your lists here or go to the website that i mod at and post them there. Makes no difference, i just want to have some lists to pool from when i go to do the end of the year poll.

    Julusia- Atmosphere
Sea of Skies- Sea of Skies
    Arkonas- Word
    Thurisaz- The Cimmerian Years

Hey North, I can't add much to this but I am looking for advise.
I love 90's early 2000's metal but since I had kids I find I don't hear much of the new stuff.
Right now I listen to a lot of System of a Down and Disturbed when I run. Can you recommend some good stuff for running. You have a crazy collection of CDs so I think you are the guy to ask.

    Thanks MasterShake!!!

    Amon Amarth - Surtur Rising
Primordial - Redemption at the Puritan's Hand
    Fleshgod Apocalypse - Agony
    DevilDriver - Beast

I could add a few more good ones, but these are the ones that stand out to me and got the most play time in my world.

Looking for something in the SOAD/Disturbed realm? Maybe try Five Finger Death Punch. If you can go a little heavier, then try DevilDriver or Lamb of God

I'm hungover right now, so I'll let North add some more. Too tired to think.

Sure, i can give you some ideas. Do you want actual albums or just certain songs?

Either / Or. Maybe some songs to download. I use to listen to Unleashed back in the day so heavier isn't an issue. Just as long as they are those songs that get you jacked.

I have lots of power punk kind of Dead Kennedy's, Chixdiggit, Rancid, Bad Religion kind of stuff, but that isn't as good for running.

    Thanks MasterShake!!!

Add Die MF Die by Dope to that list. I used to play that before every game when I was playing soccer. Always got me jazzed. Jumpdafukup by Soulfly is another good one.

And I dont know if giving Nut some porn is a very good idea. yes...it could keep him occupied indoors and keep all of us safe...but it could also backfire and motivate him

It was midget porn, so unless you're short you're safe
