I think it's just the fact that I have to use iTunes for media if I use an iPod, iPad, iPhone. It's like you are restricted to using Apple products in order to use...Apple products. Obviously not a big deal for some, but it annoys me.

With Android, I can use whatever I want.

I suppose. I don't mind the syncs and I love iTunes. Doesn't inconvenience me any. And you don't "have" to use just iTunes for media. I use Netflix, Crackle, HBO GO, etc on my Apple products.

I have an iphone 4 and a blackberry world...
The iphone is a POS phone... but a pretty good toy. iphones are too proprietary, and itunes is a laggy, bloated POS software.
the blackberry is a great phone for business and a POS toy

the Droid is a great phone and a great toy... get the Android based phone.

I have a Droid after I kept getting the hourglass of death on my BB. The battery is marginal. The iPhone battery is solid based upon my weekend with Tubby.

I like my droid. I don't have to open my laptop to do a bunch of apps.

itunes blows goats, and then goes back to see if there are any sheep around. . . .

I have an Evo Shift through Sprint. I am a big fan of the HTC branded phones. It looks like the Thunderbolt is the latest and greatest if you go that route. I've had mine for about a year, and it has been a great phone. If battery life is an issue, you can get a 3000mAh battery rather cheaply for most phones which will greatly expand the battery life. Also, amazon has their own android app store that gives away a free app every day.

the iPhone has been the most innovative, but you are shackled to iTunes unless you jailbreak your phone. My biggest issue with any apple product is the price tag for the hardware you are getting. People love their iPhones and swear by the device. Unless you care that your product is an Apple product, I'd go with an Android.

I have been leaning toward apple, but only because I have an iTouch so I'm used to the layout. I don't like al the propriarity BS that comes with them though.

I hear that the AT&T iPhones drop quite a few calls, but I rarely, if ever drop calls. My wife's LG Android phone, on the other hand, drops calls frequently.

I hear people talk about all of these problems with iPhones and being slow and POS phones, bla bla bla, but I have never had one single problem with my phone. I drop it frequently (don't have any kind of Otter Box case or anything like that, just a hard, see-through, silicone case and a screen protector) and I'm not easy with it at all...not a single problem and it still looks brand new when I take the case off.

Droid 2. Love it. My laptop is getting slower by the day while this thing keeps plugging along.

Seems like you have your answer. I have to admit to being surprised. With the popularity of the iPhone, I figured there would be more support for that platform, but it looks like Android is the winner here so far.

I guess it is just teenagers and iSlaves that prefer the iToys for the most part.

I have never used the iPhone. But I like my droid just fine.

Anyone have an opinion on the iPad2 vs. the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The wife wants the iPad, but it doesn't support Flash. Not sure if its that big of a deal or not. But aside from Flash, they seem very comparable.
