Ken Whisenhunt's career coaching record looks great, until you realize that he's 6-16 since his HoF QB retired & the Cards continues to regress. He's defiantly on the hot seat with the fans & the media here in Phoenix.

Yea, Sparano wasnt even wanted this year and if not having Harbaugh sign with the Niners Sparano wouldnt even be there. I would also put Caldwell on that list for Indy.

I agree with Caldwell. His living off of Dungy's team has met it's end.
    Thanks Shake!

Caldwell will be fired but really Polian is the one who needs to be fired. He's going to get scapegoated hard by the Polians to mask how awful of a job they have done surrounding Manning with a team. Sparano goes first though, probably week 14 or when the Colts have two or three wins. Whichever comes first.

Manning's salary is so large, you can't really build a great supporting cast around him. Look what they've done to all the other Colts that wanted a pay raise, other than Freeney. That's how they've been able to stay under the cap.

Remember when Elway deferred salary so we could go get Neil Smith and others? The league (and probably the union) decided that wasn't entirely kosher but it worked in getting the last championship pieces because Elway was willing to make the sacrifice. A lot of quarterbacks wouldn't have done that.

You'd think the Favres and Mannings would reel in so much in endorsement money that they wouldn't need a top salary and still be rich. Michael Jordan earns more now than when he was playing - it's just done quietly.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

I so wanted Spagnuolo the year we got Josh.

Oh I vote none of the about, I think Caldwell gets the axe first, but it could be any of them. Plus he got the vote of confidence from the owner today so he is done

i think it's caldwell. . . indy's a proud franchise, they need a scapegoat-- miami can suck for luck unabashedly, their fans are behind it. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

i don't know. . . seems like kind of a stupid move. . . if you're the arizona ****in' cardinals, do you really want to fire the coach that got you to the super bowl a couple of years ago? since when is a couple of losing seasons a big deal in arizona? cincy's seeing the positive effects of riding it out with marvin lewis, the cards should do the same. . . if they fire him, who can they get that's better? bad choice if they do it. . .

I voted Sparano, but really, Jack del Rio has no business being the head coach of the Jaguars. His teams are ridiculously boring on offense, and his defenses aren't always that great. If there was one NFL team that has been in a holding pattern these last few years, it's been the Jaguars. No sign of development whatsoever.

And that's one of the reasons I'm not too keen on Fox for the Broncos. Sure, he had a good year when DeAngelo was tearing it up alongside Stewart, but his offenses are always predictable and boring, and they never improve overall as a team. He's just way too old fashioned.

(edit) Think about it. The Panthers are the most exciting they've been in years. It's not just Cam; Rivera actually gave the rookie big TE playmakers to complement Smith, and he allows him to take chances throwing the ball.

Fox brings back memories of Wade Phillips. Boring. Same dumbfounded sideline demeanor.
