Gosh, I'd hate it if we had a decent leader and middle linebacker...*shucks*
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Yeah...I mean after watching him today tear stuff up against the Dolphins, I definitely wouldn't want him on my team.

Yeah. Remember Jerry Rice? He tore it up with the Broncos.

So your comparison is with a receiver who was done and not playing top notch football any longer to a LB who is still playing at a high level? Yea, great comparison.

Wow. Ray had 9 tackles today. against a lame ass vanilla offense. That's impressive.

You know, A guy named Nate Webster had 12 tackles against New Orleans. A much better offense. How's that comparison?

You mean the 9 tackles that led the team for the day? At 33 and led the team in tackles? With 117 total tackles on the year with 2 Forced Fumbles and 3 Ints? Oh hell yea, i would take that.

It's laughable that anyone would use Jerry Rice and leader in the same sentence. A number of his former teammates say he was one of the worst teammates they have ever played with and cried like a lil bitch when he didn't get his way.

PLUS, Rice was like 40 yo when he came to Denver and obviously past his prime.

Hey, maybe Denver will sign ray Lewis, spending a ton of cash on a criminal type blowhard on the downside of his career.
We are good at signing free agents who's best years are behind them. Let's continue the trend! Oh wait a minute. A head just rolled for doing just that type of thing... Hmmmm, there's a lesson in here somewhere, just haven't figured it out yet.
    Give me a few minutes.

See now THAT point makes some sense. Much better than the Rice thing.

Guys got a hell of a supporting cast.
Besides, Lewis owes a great deal of his career production to his coaches putting monster D-lineman in front of him eating up the whole offensive line so he didn't have to. His production took a big dip when he lost his large mammals for awhile at DT. After Ngata came back, he's magically better.
Bring him here with our atrocious wimp collection known as a defensive line and see him disappear.

I'd take Ray in a heartbeat. He'd get the most out of his boy DJ. He'd be a great leader for all the young players we have and will acquire on D. He's getting older but he still has some solid years left.
