Default Bailey amazed Harbaugh, Schwartz escaped fines

NFL veterans Champ Bailey and Derrick Mason would have no problem had the NFL lightened the pocketbooks of 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh and Lions coach Jim Schwartz following their instantly infamous post-handshake fight … hmmm … scuffle.

While Harbaugh and Schwartz avoided repercussions from the league office, Bailey and Mason believe the coaches should have been fined for their actions.

Bailey, in his 13th season, called it an “inconsistent” decision by the league.

Yea, i was watching the show "Audibles" which had Stink on there and he said the exact same thing. Stink was pretty passionate abotu it too considering how many fines players get for some of the simplest shit.

I was very surprised to hear there was no fine handed out. Coaches are supposed to be more mature than the players. How can you tell your players not to act in such a way after that?

I don't understand what they would fine them both for? Arguing? Bad Handshaking?

    Embarrassing the league.

They both took an excellent game with playoff repercussions and took the focus from that to themselves.

I wouldn't fine them, but the leagues had dumber fines.

This is the same NFL that fines players for wearing black shoes or putting a number on their shoe with a sharpie. Looks a little hypocritical if you ask me.

Polamalu got fined 10k for calling his wife to tell her he was OK yet the two coaches get no fines something isn't right. Daddy Goodell has too much power

    Just poor sportmanship.

Basically the league has a misconduct policy and when you look at guys like Randy Moss who gets fined for "pretend" mooning the crowd and Jake Plummer gets fined for giving the bird i cant see how two coaches acting like jackasses isnt misconduct. And unfortuantely Goodell and the rest of the league wonder why the players are so uptight about the way things are set up.

Yeah.. but the next player calls his girlfriend and to brag about the TD, only to then say to the media.. "I was jis hollerin t family and lettin' them know I is aight." That person would have just as much right to complain that Polamununun wasn't fined.

The NFL should have fined the coaches. But there wasn't punches thrown, and players don't get fined for simply arguing on the field. So I can see where it would have been a tough call.

Yeah.. that mooning fine was absolutely stupid. I still blame Joe Buck's absolutely, ridiculously over-blown reaction, for that fine. Joe Buck should have been fined for being such a girly moron.
