Palmer hasn't looked the same since he got hurt. He looked terrible throwing the ball at times last year.

    King, set us straight.

He should be an improvement over what they have had, but it might not be worth 2 #1's.

    2 first, wow!

They will never dig themselves out of the hole if palmer doesnt play any better than campbell did.

i doubt palmer is in football shape and i seriously doubt he does any better than the last few years he was a bungle.

they could have had orton for a 4th in 2026

    Here are more specifics:

RT @mortreport: Conditional pick in 2013 is 1st rounder if Raiders win 1 playoff game or it's a 2nd rounder. Still get the 1st rounder next April.

this has little to do with orton, more to do with hue jackson REALLY wanting palmer. remember, jackson was the receivers coach in cincy for a few years. he got the guy he was familiar with.

he had elbow surgery-- he doesn't have that arm anymore. . .

still a solid player, but the big arm is a thing of the past. . . the fade got assraped on this one. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Do the people scared that Palmer will make Oakland legit not remember how Palmer played the past few years in Cincy? He was BAD. Not just mediocre, bad. That combined with his long layoff, I don't see him having any major impact on the Raiders this season.

Funny how someone told me last night Cincy would never give up Palmer. I kind of agreed because usually Brown is a dillweed but getting 2 1sts is awesome for them as they are rebuilding. What Miami's owner said about Orton before cancelling the trade is 100% correct. Orton isnt worth what he was looking for and every team from Arizona-Oakland who needed a QB didnt feel he is a great QB. For those who think that Orton was all that the proof is in the pudding.
