I don't mind drafting another returner with one of our many picks, but I also wouldn't mind seeing if Alridge or Jack Williams can hack it. Neither returned a ton in college, but I'd rather have them doing something useful for us if they're gonna make the roster.

I can't see continually drafting returners or throwing money after them in FA.
As you said, Alridge is coming back, and J. Williams really showed me
something in the way he returned his interceptions in preseason. Royal is
always available in a "backup" role at returner. And Chad Jackson showed
some spark in his few returns, too.

What the Broncos need are defenders. They have at least four holes, and
a lot of depth, to fill to bring the defense back even to the "average" level.
It is probable that some sterling ST guys will come out of there by default.

If dramatic improvements are not made in the defense, we will be looking
at drafting in the top ten in 2010.

Next year's schedule is going to be tough. We have been warned!

Well, it would be if you asked me if I'd rather have a Maybach 52 in my garage or a Ford Focus. I'll take the Maybach every time. Spending a mid-round pick on a guy like Thomas from Arizona to be a receiver and returner for us isn't a bad idea. We have enough picks to do it, regardless of what people are trying to pass by on these forums.

You got a problem with Focus's chump?
