Anyone know how to use a webcam??
i have an HP pavillion dv2000 if that means anything to anyone. it doesnt to me. but its got a built in web cam. I know this because i can see it and it clearly says webcam.
However, i cant figure out how to get it to work. I know i am stupid with computers, but sometimes i think i out do myself. So throwing myself under the bus, anyone got some insight?
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

Both those will automatically recognise a webcam. also, if you go to your Program list, it will probably list your Webcam in there, and you just click and it will start.

i am trying to take a picture with it. I got a picture of mihkel (the boy who only had 12 days to live) and one of my son. I wanted to use the web cam to take a picture of them and then post them.

That is the same laptop I just had to send in because the friggen motherboard fried.
I'll try to remember by memory. Go to the Start button. Click on All Programs. Go to Quickplay. It will take you to a screen that has different options. Click on the option that looks like a movie reel and film. That should bring up a page that to the left will have WebCam. Click that and it should start.
If you can't figure it out, go to the book that came with your computer and look up web cam. It was a pain in the ass program to run if I remember correctly. I never used it.

If your webcam is like mine, it will have a still frame option.
It's usually a camera icon.

UR...watch the heat on that thing. The heat on mine caused a stress fracture in the motherboard. The tech guy said when I get it back to put it in a dock that has fans in it. He said he has heard of that models fans not being very good.
