I think the two teams talent levels and coaching are THAT different.
And the Colts would still make the playoffs with Brady at the helm. While one team has some more cogs than the other doesnt diminish how good Tom Brady is as a QB.

I think the Broncos could make the playoffs if they had Tom Brady but that wasn't my point.

Tom is a stud, Peyton is a stud. One runs the play that's called for the most part, the other calls the plays.

    Agreed.

But im really only responding to the idea of the thread topic that Brady isnt in Manning's league which is ridiculous.

I think they're definitely in the same league. They're both HOF QB's. I do think one is more valuable to his team than the other if that makes sense.

What we really should stop pretending is that Montana is in Marino's league.

Cassel takes over for Brady and the tem really didn't miss a beat. So is Cassell every but as good as Brady? Hell no. If cassell can lead a team to more our less the same place Brady could that doesn't make Brady the GOAT.

I'm not taking anything away from Tom, he's a great qb and deserves his eventual place in Canton, but we have hard evidence that his team can survive him going down for an extended time. We have proof of the opposite for the Colts. After all the OP asked if we can stop pretending that Brady is more important to his team.

Well, the results of the only time we can look too speak volumes.
I think indy's main and ONLY problem is they built their team AROUND Manning. He's their transmission. With him, the car can only roll downhill.

Frankly, putting all your team's marbles behind one guy is moronic. So he's the highest paid qb in history? Big whoop. Now he's the highest paid non-participant.

I don't know, building your team around the greatest passing quarterback the league's seen doesn't seem that bad.

What's hurt them more is the terrible drafting that they do. They haven't found a good back since EDGE left. They have zero DE depth, their DT's are awful. They have swung and missed on infinite LB's and that line hasn't been truly addressed in years.

They shouldn't be, actually no team should really be in a position to be winless on a season, but the Colts' front office is not this mystical standard that we thought.

Sorry...but worse QB's have won games with lesser teams. No way anyone is going to convince me that all of Indy's woes are the result of Manning being out. They have many more problems than that.

that Drew Brees is or ever was in Aaron Rodger's league? Asides from perhaps the fact that they are.

To me Rodgers is better than Brees by a margin but people forget about brees like he doesn't hit 30 tds and 4k yards with ease.

One guys team won 11 games without him.

One guys team may not win a game without it.

One guy has one of the best coaches ever.

One guy has a hof coach and now a dud.

Manning is clearly the superior QB.
