OK, I tailored this around defense and the running game. I think that will be a big part of what we're doing under Fox and Magazu.
Also, I see us drafting somewhere in the 12-18 range based on where we finish.
1. Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama...I agree with Cuzz. I've brought up Richardson before in another thread. He's incredibly strong and I've read he's been timed as low as the 4.3s. Depending on what happens this year, he could be the bell cow that makes a Fox offense go. He might be stronger than Stephen Davis and also faster.
2. Kheeston Randall, DT, Texas...This guy is really strong in the middle of the line. He looks a lot more athletic than Chapman though. I don't know about some of you but I also like pulling up videos of guys being interviewed. I do this to kind of guage bust risk. I could be wrong but Kheeston comes across as a no nonsense guy.
3. Brandon Thompson, DT, Clemson...I think he's similar to Randall but possibly more fluid.
4. Moe Petrus, C, Connecticut...Look at the seasons that two seperate UConn RBs have had the past two years. He's been a big part of both of those big running seasons. He's also played guard.
5. Jeff Demps, RB, Florida...He'll probably be gone by this point. I think he'll have a better season than last year and I also think his stock will get a bump once they do the combine. But my thinking here is that, when you look at our RBs, we don't have a lot of speed. Demps is a change of pace with some potential upside. He runs a sub 10 100 meters and is only 5'9". He's very powerful in his legs and his power is actually underrated when running up the middle.
6. Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State... Yes, I realize he'll be 29 next year. I anticipate adding a FA QB and also possibly going with Tebow.
7. Chad Diehl, FB, Clemson...We need a blocking FB. This guy's a good run blocker.
