He's been a stud for 3 years now (hurt in 09) and a phenom as soon as he stepped on the field as a frosh. Improving each year as far as decision making and efficiency goes as well. He was a 4 star recruit and never disappointed. And the Big 12 is hardly weak competition. Last I checked, Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford and Josh Freeman came from there. Not too bad company...

    CAREER STATS:
    7381 passing yards, 59 TD, 12 INT

Rice University and Stephen F. Austin University. Who the hell are these people. 2 of the teams baylor has played. TCu is nothing without without their QB. And kansas state is alright?

I know TCU is 14 but they were highly ranked last year. This is who they played. So once he plays some strong teams. I might reconsider. He is just a good player playing weak teams like Hawaii Qb.

2 games does not an entire career make. Quit cherry-picking 2 non-conf opponents and look at the whole body of work. He's been damn good vs his Big12 opponents as well...

I agree with you Phi, im just not sold on RGIII. Yet.

vs ranked opponents he is 2-12 thus far. The one win early vs TCU can be misleading because TCU is not really that good compared to the last couple of years. Baylor has 4 more games coming vs ranked opponents so we will see how he fairs there but i would much rather spend a pick on QB who has at least done something worthwhile vs better competition.

And Vandy never beat great teams either while Cutler was there, but he played well, had them competitive and everyone here seems to like him quite a bit. Same thing w/ RG3 IMO. HE didn't lose all those games, the Baylor Bears did.

Very true. Time will tell but i just dont like him as a QB. Just personal taste i guess.

North, How you mention QB's is all over the place. Barkley and Jones are VERY over rated players with great talent around them playing a lot lessor competition... Specially Oklahoma.

You mention Foles in a different thread (even though you havn't seen him play) that he can compete but how he has lessor talent but playing tougher competition but how your not sold on him...

That is pretty bias against RG3 and how they can't be good because who they are playing. When they have no talent compared to the wildcats.

You can almost justify Foles but can't for rg3?

I am excited when "Baylor" yeah "Baylor" with no talent plays one of the teams with the most talent and a terrific defense mid November. Even though it is like comparing NFL team playing a varsity football team

Are you one of the people that debated on Cutler with me before drafting him and when we drafted him on other board? It is not all about W/L and being on the best college team.

He is not just a scrambling QB and anyone that has seen him play knows he will be able to be a pure pocket passer in NFL with out a problem but can scramble if needs to.

Its all over the place because no senario is the same.

Ive seen Foles play in one game thus why i commented on just that game and what i observed from that game. I never said he was going to be great or bad only that when watching that particular game the talent he had to work with was different than the team he was facing.

That is pretty bias against RG3 and how they can't be good because who they are playing. When they have no talent compared to the wildcats.
There is some bias because i dont like his style of play. Doesnt mean im right and doesnt mean im wrong. Just a personal preference.

Are you one of the people that debated on Cutler with me before drafting him and when we drafted him on other board? It is not all about W/L and being on the best college team.
Nope. Wasnt me. I thought Cutler was the best QB out of that draft.

He is not just a scrambling QB and anyone that has seen him play knows he will be able to be a pure pocket passer in NFL with out a problem but can scramble if needs to.
I didnt say he was a run only QB. But no, nobody can prove anything. Like all QB's its a wait and see game.
