It's not a tradition, but as it wasn't Thanksgiving here, this is what I did today.

Went to the Post Office and collected my new Irish passport, then got my Spanish Social Security number, and then sat for 2.5 hours to get signed up for the Spanish unemployment benefit.

I've paid so much bloody tax here I figure I should get something back! I'm only on it for 3 months, but that will help.

Beginning the downward trend of the spiraling vortex of DEATH also known as Christmas Eve.

I went to walmart today- though that isn't a tradition. Traditionally I stay home and do NOTHING on black friday. Today I needed a new pre-lit tree, so I braved the crowds at 8:00 am! And guess what? They were mostly gone. I didn't have to wait in line at all. Of course, since it's a taller tree, I had to get more decorations.

Anyway after I got back, I did get back into traditional mode and took a great long nap.
