    Congrats Ben!

Guess you'll be gaming a lot less now considering you've got actual matters to attend to.

Thanks for all the pleasant words guys/gals, you all don't know how much it means to come home post this thread, and get so many warm responses and prayers...Thanks guys..

So far everything has been pretty easy. We are just going with the flow. Seems like most things take care of itself. If shes crying it might be feeding time or diaper change time. That's about it..Thank god we haven't had any problems like her getting sick, wierd poops, not eating etc...

Hardest part has been the difference in amount of sleep...but im getting used to it..The no sex part has me kinda jumpy and full of adrenaline...so I have been hitting the gym lately..My friends still come over to have beers and hang out like usual..but they're not here til 3-4AM anymore...And everyone is banned from smoking cigs anywhere it can be smelled.

She has changed physically a lot. Most of the swelling on her face from birth, has gone down dramatically. Her eyes are now grey instead of blue. and shes smiling more often.

Ill post some pix of Marissa in a minute...just gotta upload some...

Just remember the sleep thing is only really bad for the first 3 or 4 months. Then again at teething, then at potty training, then when they are teenagers, ....

    it's all good...

You can read all the parenting books in the world, but your experience will never be like that. Dr. Spock had it right. You just do what you feel is best, and that is the right way to do it.

    Congrats again.

Our projected date was December 3rd. Marissa was born on November 25th. You never know Jimmy...Just be prepared when she has her first slight contraction...Call your OB/GYN and ask her what you guys should do...

One big word of advice...Watch your baby coming out, and cut the umbilical cord. I did, and it was something I am so happy I did. You will never feel closer to your wife than witnessing her bring your baby into this world. The nurse said "most dad's stand up next to their wives and look down at the feet so they don't see what's happening"....

Another BIG word of advice...My lady went with the epidural. She said there was no way she could do it without one...And it was easy street after it was administered...I don't know what your guy's view on the epidural is (some people are very against it), but it certainly was a time/pain saver for my girl/s.

Good luck, and enjoy every moment.

Thanks for the advise. I am planning to watch the birth from the Doc's point of view but if my wife wants me by her side then that is where I will be.
My wife is set for having no epidural. I support her and hope she can handle it but if things get too stressful and painful then I will have to convince her to get it.

I wanted to take this time to say Thank you again. I wasn't expecting to have such warm wishes and good luck sent my way. I really appriciate it, and feel like I really do have a Internet Family. And for those few high five and PM messages, thank you guys...Its an undescribable feeling.

    You are all the best!

For me the whole having kids were weird. I mean when the kid was born (any of the 3) I loved them.... But as a father, its different... A mother feels it growing inside her for 9 months.... So she is somewhat bonded and completley in love already.

It took me 12-18 months to bond with both daughters. And my second daughter, I was almost resentful she was being born. Not resentful, but I just didnt see how I had enough love in my heart for her as well... Well I figured there was plenty of room in my heart for her... Both daddies girls.

My son was the worst, cause I missed 33 months out of his first 3 years. And he is an un trusting SOG... so it took me a couple years before we really clicked.

Just babbling, everyone is different. I guess what I meant to say is you will love your baby more tomorrow, than you do today, and it will be that way probably until they are teenagers.
Thanks MO for the wicked Sig.
