John Harbaugh was apologetic after his Baltimore Ravens' 31-13 preseason victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

At issue was that Chiefs coach Todd Haley apparently took issue with Ravens reserves tacking on a couple of fourth-quarter touchdowns, the last of which came with just five seconds to play on a 1-yard run by rookie running back Anthony Allen.

Harbaugh said he would have never done such a thing in a regular season game, but that the preseason is for evaluation and he wanted to get his younger players some work late in the game, even using a couple of timeouts on the final drive.

I see no reason for Harbaugh to feel he needed to apologize - preseason is used to see as many players, etc. as you can before cuts.

Haley has more to worry about than scores being ran up, perhaps control his lockerroom before any more players get hurt!

Don't ruin the BRONCOS high draft pick Haley!
