Default Todd Haley is such a baby.

He's once again whining about a team running the score up on him. Instead of shaking Harbaugh's hand after the game last night he yelled at him and walked away.

At least in the regular season I can somewhat (although barely) get why you would be mad about it. But in the preseason? Seriously? When you have guys on the field fighting for roster spots, it would be stupid to just take knees when you have a chance to evaluate talent, ESPECIALLY this season with less practice time and bigger rosters.

Todd Haley REALLY needs to get over himself.

I knew he was going to do that. I can see both sides of this, on one hand like you said they are trying to look at all the players (which i know pretty sure that was what Harbaugh was doing) but then the other hand there was only a minute thirty left and he goes downtown. Either way, im still of the thought that you play to stop the other team in any situation. Dont want the score run up? Stop them.

Agreed with you about him acting like a baby. Will throw out a little food for thought where I disagree on which should be more upsetting.

If you are going to get pissed, I think preseason is the place. I think it's stupid, but preseason means nothing. In the regular season, points scored (or possibly differential, can't remember right now) is one of the tie breakers. I have never, and will never, understand why every coach doesn't run up the score when they have a chance.

Granted, tie breakers don't often go as deep as the points scored, but the fact it IS a tiebreaker, means that any coach that doesn't score as much as possible is risking a chance his team will miss the playoffs or be seeded lower.

This is professional ball, don't want to get embarrassed, play better.

I liked it when he called out Joshie for cheating.

I was more pissed-off at the Broncos than the Raiturds.

That's fair, although in the regular season you have to weigh that against keeping your starters in in a blowout and them possibly getting hurt. I'd say in that case there is a better chance of a starter getting hurt than a point differential tiebreaker coming into effect.

Good point. That is definitely something the HC needs to weigh. It seems some HC's are likely to take out starters out in a blowout, other HC's almost never do. I guess that's a protect them vs. keep them sharp difference in philosophy.

I just don't think the other HC EVER has a reason to bitch in the regular season, because points matter for more than just winning that game.

One of the reasons I was not one of the people so pissed at NE that year they were dominating, would be up by 21 and still going for it on 4th downs and scoring as much as they could.

Oh I agree, I also had no problem with that Pats team. I just understand it more in the regular season more because of the frustration of losing a game like that that actually counts. I think Haley's reactions were way over the top in both situations though.

If he was going after McD about cheating, which the punter recently indicated, then I can 'almost' understand it, but short of that, a HC refusing to shake the other HC's hand is BS in my book. He's now done it at least twice that I know of and that says a lot about Haley to me, and none of it good.

Yeah, if I were a coach I'd run the score up on his teams just to piss him off since he reacts so strongly about it.

What makes this so funny is that he is accusing them of running up the score using rookie backup QB Taylor who went 5 for 11 for 88 yards, 41 of which came on one play. I need to check if KC plays the Pats this year - cuz that will really be an opportunity to complain about getting run up on... what an idiot.

Haley needs to be fined by the NFL. This is unacceptable conduct from a coach and shows a clear disrespect for the game of football. Young people watching the game don't need to see garbage like this from coaches, who are supposed to be leaders and role models even more so than players. It's one thing to not shake the opposing team's hand but to yell at them at the end of the game is not only unsportsmanlike; it's a disgrace. Harbaugh should not have apologized for anything because he did the right thing by getting those players every possible rep he could.
