So here is 'Banquet' by Bloc Party. You can get the feel of the song in 60-90 seconds, so if you don't like, you can stop listening rather quick.

This was actually pretty cool. This band has that whole 80's pop sound that im such a sucker for. Might have to check them out more.

There's not much to the first video as it is not a legit vid but its all about the song anyway. As for the other video, those who love the Evil Dead movies will get a kick out of it.

    Devin Townsend- Nobody's Here

    SYL- Love?

I really liked the solo song, and will check out more of the solo stuff; Is it mostly similar in feel to Nobody's Here?

The SYL song was way different, wow. I can respect that diversity, but I am more drawn to the first one

    I can really dig that.

It is, you will find some edgeir tunes but not like the SYL stuff. Devin's solo stuff i like to compare to Pink Floyd in some ways because like Nobody's Here he does a lot of crazy stuff vocally and with the guitar that gives his stuff atmosphere. If you would like to check out his stuff start with the albums 'Terria, Synchestra, and his Project called Ocean Machine'.

The solo stuff was alright. Definitely had that "wall of sound" behind the vocals.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on scream metal.

I just got on the Lupe wagon, so 'Food & Liquor' is the only album I have. 'Instrumental' is definatly the hook song for me. Got me into him and the rest is growing on me. Some of his other stuff leans more to rap. Here is another.

I did some Googling to figure it out myself.

It's Lupe Fiasco - The Instrumental

Also, I said it sounds like Fort Minor...well Mike Shinoda helped with the song, that's why

I could get into the second link more than the first. I could definitly see myself listening to the second while I was running or lifting. Definitly something to get myself pumped up, but not as an every day track. The first one seemed like a step above soft rock. Good lyrics, just not my style.

It's not bad. I'm not going crazy for it, but it has a calming folk sound to it.

Reading more on the band, I like them better than Tweedy's more well known group, Wilco

I couldn't get into the Wide Spread Panic link MB, but I gave it a listen. We will find something that we have a common musical ground on.

Here is one of my favorite Lupe Fiasco songs:

There is another version of this song out here, but not as good IMO.

Sorry, couldn't find a non youtube for this. If I can't find a seperate link .
