I'm no military expert, but I could watch WWII documentaries all day. It's like The Empire Strikes Back but in real life. Thank goodness we didn't live through a Return of the Jedi.

If you've seen the Hitler Parodies on youtube ,check out the actual movie, Downfall. It's pretty good.

I've got Downfall on my Netflix list. . .recommended by Netflix. Never put it together that it was the source of those parodies. I'll move it up in the queue.

Nothing can ever top the Japanese Lunge Mine. Accuracy was @ 100%, it is the Worlds only ever anti-tank spear, with a heavy duty Shaped Charge HEAT warhead. Range was very short. No reloads were available...

Understand this is outstanding book - "Bunker Hill: A City, a Siege, a Revolution" by Nathaniel Philbrick. It very good summer read. Also picked and slow working my way through Max Boot's "Invisible Armies: An Epic History of Guerrilla Warfare from Ancient Times to the Present" It is a very good book and should be include in anyone library that interested in Military History.
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

Dread, tell us a battle story.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Didn't they film the original star wars in Tunisia? I hear that the buildings they used in the movie are still tehre in tip-top condition (because no humidity), and out in middle of no-where
