Now, it wouldnt hurt my feelings to allow the rules of the past because i agree that this is football and they get paid a lot of money to take shots. However, going by today's standard of clean play, etc that hit was pretty out there. And coming from a guy who made a habit of it last year (as Rav said) its hard to like a guy who is seems hellbent on intentionally injuring someone and doesnt want to change.
Given that he was looking at dalton's body and not his hand I think it's very plausible that he had no idea if the ball was gone or not.

Ive watched it over and over and while it is close i still dont see how he missed it. Its not like he went for the waist and was looking down. But, even if he made it at the same time throwing the QB down like that without a helmet is BS.

Detroit just seems to be cursed. They lost that running back for the year, Fairly breaks his foot...Stafford is made of glass. Like my friend in detroit said "we expect to be disappointed"..Man, I hope it never gets that bad here

I just got done watching the video clip of that play. You're right the man is a freakin beast but he also developing a reputation of being a dirty player.

Ah the helmet was off and then he slammed him to the ground. He had every opportunity to stop.

The helmet came off because he grabbed him around the neck.

Yeah, I tgought it was close too. Wasn't there an official close by too? Surely he was screaming "balls away"

Either way, it seems like suh has decided he's going to intimidate people, or at least try, no matter the consequences.

That might be what he's trying to do. However he doesn't need to do that to be intimidating.

Dudes in the WWF dont even get to slam guys down that hard. LOLBut, like I said, this used be be how the game was played and the word dirty never came up...watch Butkus...He would grab guys helmets and twist their head around then pick them up and body slam them....it wasnt c considered dirty, it was called football..times have changed drastically...If Butkus was around today, He would be kicked out of football. Just saying.

He collared him around the neck. I think that's more than worthy of a fine.

I think it goes down to intent. I don't think he's like a Rodney/James Harrison player where they literally go out there to hurt someone because he enjoys it.

Guess you missed the 3 personal fouls he had last year. He is a pretty dirty player mate.

Were you not one of the same people saying "boo-hoo, this is football, insert other internet tough guy phrase here" when there was the controversy over James Harrison cheap-shotting Orton in the preseason last year?
