I know. My wife told me to stop losing weight. I could lose another 10-15 probably, and be truly "skinny". She doesn't want me any skinnier.

When you see people you haven't seen for awhile do many react cautiously to your weight loss like perhaps you had a serious medical issue?

I mean, I never thought of you as "overweight" in the sense that it was out of control. It is humorous (?) seeing pictures of you now on FB though. I'm usually wondering if your wife divorced you and married someone else.

This has been my life since about July of last year.

Everyone I run into has some version of the following:

    - Have you lost a lot of weight? Is it on purpose?

    - Are you okay?

    - You're not sick are you?

I've had at least three people re-introduce themselves to me, and then realize I'm someone they knew already.

One of my clients who is a nurse could not be convinced that something wasn't wrong. She asked if I had been to the Dr. "You've lost a lot. You know I'm a nurse, I'm worried about you. This isn't normal. Something is not right." I was trying not to roll my eyes. Yes I lost a lot, but that happens when you make sure and stay in a caloric deficit week after week for months at a time.

I realized that this is actually a bad thing for many people trying to lose weight. If you're struggling, these types of interactions can actually de-motivate you.

I found this to be one of the more demoralizing things I was met with when I lost weight (and my transformation wasn't as evident - only like 25-30 lbs). Here I thought I was in peak physical shape, looking great, and then one of the chicks at work tells me I look sickly. I still hold a grudge years later.
