    Chicken and rice.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I managed to screw up rice.

And lucky I didn't start a fire. Didn't turn the burner down to simmer.

Plug in rice cooker. Or even a microwave rice cooker. Free up the burner for the meal.

Last night I had: Wild Flounder Grenobloise, Pommes de terre purée, bloomsdale spinach, lemon-caper beurre noisette... And it was pretty disappointing, honestly. That's what I get for venturing out of my comfort zone.

I was looking for a super pretentious California meal and I just got some bland fish filet on a bed of crappy mashed potatoes and spinach.

The wife unit made grilled chicken with a pineapple habanero sauce and rice with lime, cilantro and garlic. Outstanding

I came home to a nice surprise. My wife prepared grilled teriyaki salmon, mashed potatoes, make n' cheese, and cheesy cauliflower.

    It was awesome.
