i am on day 7 on no sugar and processed food - i never realized how addicted i was to shitty food, i am craving a lot of junkfood, my diet was fairly healthy less the occasional soda or candy bar at the weekend, but after 7 days, i am aware just how much those few items mean to me!!
off to a chinese restaurant tonight - sushi and salad for me!
My roommate doesn't eat sugar. I try to limit my intake, but i'm not that crazy about it. I haven't had a soda in a really long time, and I don't really eat any candy or candy bars except on the rare occasion. And i've given up my one real vice - Pureleaf sweet tea. I haven't had one since I was sick in early January, and i've decided to see if I can live without it. So far so good, although I will have a gatorade once or twice a week - a little processed sugar in moderation.
I still have chips and popcorn as my snacky thing throughout the week. Otherwise I snack on fruits or peanuts.
I have a complicated relationship with seafood.
I like catfish grilled or fried. I've only had clams fried but I enjoy them. I dislike shrimp. I've only had salmon a couple of times, but it's pretty good. Fried cod is delicious, especially with some chips and malt vinegar. Never had crab or lobster and don't think I ever will. Oysters seem like something I would hate. Raw seafood is not my favorite, so I can only take maybe a few pieces of a salmon roll, but other than that I stick with a cucumber roll.
I used to dislike seafood so I think I am much improved.
Making my world famous poutine and deep fried wings tonight.
Today's my B-Day and my wife asked what I wanted for dinner and I said scallops. Hopefully Costco has some.
