No TE has ever made it into the HoF in the first ballot. I wasn't surprised that Shannon didn't based on that. TG won't be a first ballot either. Neither will Gates.

Shannon redefined the position. A GREAT player, and GREAT entertainer. I truly loved watching him on the field knowing that he was causing headaches for the opposing team.

I was at the stadium (in KC) when he had gotten into Derrick Thomas' head, causing DT to jump offside about 5 times in a row in just pure anger. Needless to say, I made a quick exit after embarrassing them in their stadium that week!!

One of my favorite games and memories. The fact that Bubby had a 30+ TD run added to their complete humiliation. So effing EPIC. Shannon was laughing the entire time while Derrick was dropping his skirt.
