Furthermore, if vBulliten is like every other message board software out there, Tned has the ability to give his own account the same restrictions as any other account on the site.

Therefore, the Tned-mobile account is just as useless as if I had a Thnikkaman-mobile account on this site. I understand that he is doing it for convenience because I know that clicking a check box and clicking an apply button is hard.

The validity of the subject is not in question. Just the mere purpose of such. To me it ranks somewhere between having my sandwich wrapped in ceran wrap or wax paper

I apologize for the lack of tact here, but the Tned-Mobile account is actually a pretty decent idea. So why should Tned be the only one allowed to have a duplicate account (other than the fact that he owns the board and runs it ).

Obviously, based on your track record of being so outspoken about how Town Hall discussions are both stupid and a waste of everyone's time, I assumed this was meant as a joke or T-slam, like the trade "Tned for a six pack of Schlitz and Sonic coney dog" thread.

However, since it is a valid question, I feel I should give a real answer.

I have two accounts, which is contrary to forum rules, because I need to make sure I don't miss certain threads.

This Town Hall thread is a perfect example. If I hop on via my mobile phone for a couple minutes during the day, but don't have time to look at all the threads, I can't risk having threads that as Admin I need to see, whether in Town Hall, or the multiple mod forums, disappear on me as vB does it's auto "forum read" thing following a login and timeouts.

It's that simple. Is it hypocrisy as Slim says (cute thread tag ), that's for you to decide. I look at it as trying to be a responsible administrator of this forum..

Not really. Many know the reason for why he had the other account as it was pretty simple to determine that he uses it when not sitting at a desk. Should the server fail he will get updates and thus be able to handle them on the fly.

The main difference with his "dupe" account is vastly different from the ones that others make on this board where they use it too spam and troll the site.

I have been using my iPhone on the mobile since i got it behold i have my iMac in work freindly. And I do not need Two accounts to do so

Thnik if you want a mobile account just ask for it that is if you haven't already.
