The suspected culprit is actually waste-water disposal, in injection disposal wells from drilling, not fracking itself. All drilling creates/uses a lot of water that has to be disposed of, and is done so usually in deep injection wells where the water is injected way down into the earth separated by great distances from groudwater supplies etc.
However, even that is being debated.
What can not be debated is how awesome Russel Westbrook is. . ..however, as awesome as he is, it looks like the Thunder will be on the sidelines come playoff time. Hopefully, we get a great draft pick, and make good use of it.
rest - http://www.si.com/nba/2015/04/22/sco...ti-free-agencyIf Kevin Durant leaves Oklahoma City as a free agent next summer, Thunder GM Sam Presti will be able to look in the mirror and tell himself that he played every card in his hand.
Presti announced the firing of Scott Brooks on Wednesday, parting ways with the head coach who had held his post since 2008. Brooks departs with a 338-207 (.620) record, and his résumé includes three trips to the Western Conference finals and one trip to the Finals. Both Durant and Russell Westbrook, continued their longstanding public support of Brooks as recently as their exit interviews last week, and Brooks will be remembered as the coach who oversaw their development into A-list superstars, but couldn't quite leverage their talent into a title. Brooks was under contract for next season, and he told reporters last week that he expected to return in 2015-16, even as rumors circled around his job status. Three foot surgeries for Durant, multiple health issues for Westbrook and a late-season knee surgery for Serge Ibaka provided Presti every excuse in the book to stick with Brooks, who failed to guide the Thunder to the playoffs for the first time since 2009.

rest - http://www.si.com/nba/2015/04/16/kev...s-scott-brooksAfter the Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated from the playoffs on the final day of the season, both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook stepped up to defend coach Scott Brooks.
Amid reports Brooks is on the hot seat as Thunder management evaluate their options for next season, the injured Durant spoke candidly, citing the adversity the team faced all season and Brooks' effectiveness in the locker room.

layne won't be happy-- he liked karl, jr. . . i think it's the right move, if not a year too late. . . will be interesting to see who they get. . .
Firing a winning coach who had one of the best players traded off of his roster is stupid. When that decision is also made on the back of a season where his two remaining stars battled injuries it is especially stupid.
John Fox was a winning coach.
Denver can take Scott Brooks if nobody else wants him.
It's so crazy, the similarities between my favorite teams. Both with awesome rosters, recently in the championship game, and firing their respective, successful records-wise coaches.
I see a lot of similarities between Brooks and Fox. Both solid coaches who can take talented teams deep in the playoffs, but both seem to have other top-notch coaches run circles around them when they get to the top. Continuing to do the same "things that got them there", without adjusting, while the opponent makes the adjustments necessary to win a championship.
