everything I have read on this unit is nothing but great.. and the speed is blazing. they also have the same model at 47" about $500 less but am holding out for the 55" as it will fit the room a bit better.

IIRC it is 65" and at almost twice the price 2998 vs 1500 I just can't see spending that much on it. It is one hell of a screen but just to big for that room..

If you are looking at $1500 or so, you need to check out Samsung and Panasonic. They are consistently the clear price/performance winners in the low/mid-range LCD's and Plasmas. You can find cheaper TV's, but if you aren't going for the cheapest, then if you check the reviews, Panny or Samsung are likely going to be the leaders at each price range.

Is it panasonic that has the 4 color led pattern? All I know if the tvs I've seen with that have some amazing pictures.

I'm not sure on the 4 color, I just know that they consistently get great reviews.

I love my samsung 60... I spent a month deciding between the sammy and the bravia because the sony was cheaper, but I paid a little more and got the better tv.

40 is too small. Bigger is better. It's worth the extra $$.

Anything less than 100" is worthless for watching football.

Put the vizio model number into google and look at next tag.

By ordering online I save nit only money but sales tax about $140 on a 1400 machine and shipping is free

The 47 inch vizio 3d 480hz is like 998 at amazon.

Most tvs are 120 hz this one is 4 times faster in the refresh rate.

Yes. They added yellow to the standard red, blue, green.
