The first time I tried, while I was mostly enjoying it, my wife wasn't and we gave up. Around the same, maybe episode 3, at most. Then, I think after season two had finished and I was reading good things, we tried again. I don't remember when, but sometime maybe halfway through the first, after we had a better feel for characters and they moved past setting up the story/characters, we really started to like it.

I should have been more clear: I've made it through season 2, episode 7, but can only watch two episodes in one sitting.

Finally got through the first season of Yellowstone. I don't know, it's ok. I would have already given up on it if it weren't so relentlessly hyped and watched by everyone. Trying to push through until it hooks me, which hasnt happened yet.

We've watched it since it first aired and really enjoy it. But, I'm a huge fan of most things Taylor Sheridan. He doesn't do cheery or light, just kind of dark, bleak at times and down to earth. When I first started watching, when I was tell others about it, I would call it a modern western, which is what I think it is. I think that's a genre you like or don't, because in the end, it's about a powerful, but financially struggling, rancher that will do anything to protect his family and land. It's probably no everyone's cup of tea.

Like I said, big Sheridan fan. I think Wind River and Sicario were also great. Without Remorse was real good. Maybe mixed on hell or high water, but really like, Mayor of Kingstown and the Yellowstone Origins, Tulsa King too. I just think that Sheridan is a master story teller. Season two is where Yellowstone nearly lost me, and it turns out the studio pushed him to go to a writers room, and the tone of the show, especially the first half, changed pretty dramatically, and then he took the show back as primary, and/or only, writer.

Ahhh, I thought you were exhausted after the FIRST two episodes. LOL
